Techno Joy has our own website / email hosting servers right here in Hawke's bay, New Zealand. This gives us the ability to do our own on-site maintenance & daily backups without having to rely on third parties. We also have our own shared secure server (HTTPS / SSL) for online payments for those websites requiring sensitive information such as credit card numbers.
Having our own high speed hosting servers allows us full access to tackle any challenge, without having to deal with yet another company just to get things done! It's hidden away in a secure environment with back-up power, high bandwidth and all the other essentials to ensure as much "up-time" for your online solution as possible - and because it's ours we can customise it any way we need to. ... So if you need an "off the shelf" solution, we can provide it.
Our monthly hosting fees are NZ$20+GST (July 2010).
Domain Name Registration
Why register a domain name? Just because you register a domain name doesn't mean you need a website - there are plenty of benefits...
- Reserve the name so no-one else can!
- Somewhere to put your website when you do get around to developing it. You can also shorten the "sandpit" period with the major search engines.
- Have unlimited, professional looking email addresses e.g. john.smith@yourbusiness.co.nz and info@yourbusiness.co.nz - instead of yourbusiness@isp.co.nz.
- Everyone in your company / family can have their own individual email address.
- ISP independence - If you change your ISP you don't need to worry about telling everyone your new email address.
